Disney World: Where dreams come true…. maybe.

The baseball team traveled this previous week to compete, but fell short of expectations.

During the week of spring break, the baseball team traveled to Orlando, Florida. The team had a rough week, winning one out of five games. This week, the boys have three games.

On Friday, April 3rd, the team packed their bags and headed to Orlando. During the week, the team had five games. Their normal horizons were expanded and they competed against teams from New Jersey, Illinois, and Wisconsin.

“It was weird playing teams from different states. We weren’t really sure what to expect, but it was cool all at the same time,” said Mitchell Langley, varsity baseball player.

Like mentioned before, the team fell short. Out of the five games the boys played, they only had one success. On Sunday, April 5th, the team took on Passaic Valley from New Jersey. Bullitt East won this game 6-0, their only win. On Monday and Tuesday, the 6th and 7th, the team fell short twice against teams from NJ and IL. As the week came to an end, East lost their last game to Lakeland Reg. 6-5.

This week is a fresh start. The team will only play three games. Tuesday’s game against Thomas Nelson has been rained out, but on Friday and Saturday, play PRP and a double header with Boone County and Davies County.
