Although the wrestling team’s ultimate goal was not achieved, the relentless work members endured preparing for it throughout the entirety of the season allowed the team a more promising chance to contain state champions than ever before.

At the JV State competition on Feb. 2, Logan Wells won second place while Sean Lohden won third.

At the KHSAA Regionals on Feb. 9, Bullitt East as a whole ranked third. Individual victories included James Nash, Logan Wells and Jay Smith winning second place, Matthew Hendricks winning third, Sean Lohden and Patrick Netherton winning fourth and Bryce Duerk winning fifth.

Although no one placed in the KHSAA State tournament that signified the end of the season on Feb. 15 and 16, Logan Wells and Sean Lohden won two matches the first day.
