Looking down the field, Senior Captain Tayler Mahoney controls the ball. Mahoney recently made both goals for the team against Bardstown, who they fell to with a final score of 3-2. “Scoring is always an exciting feeling. Not only do you put a point on the board, but you also help boost the confidence amongst your team,” said Mahoney.

Looking to wrap up their final regular season games this week, the Lady Chargers will take on districts next week.

The team currently holds a season record of 13-2-1 and are ranked 17 in the state. This past week, they had two games, one against Bardstown and the other against Franklin County.

Monday, Sept. 23 the team fell to Bardstown with a final score of 3-2. Senior Captain Tayler Mahoney made both goals in the game.

The team turned around on Saturday, Sept. 28 and beat Franklin County with a final score of 3-2. Goals in the game were made by senior Emily Ezell and junior Bailey Chitwood.

Tonight, the team took on a district rival, Mercy, and came out on top with a score of 8-0. Until two years ago, the Lady Chargers were unable to overcome the Mercy Jaguars. The Chargers have beat Mercy in the 2017, 2018 and now the 2019 season.
