All eyes are on the cross country girls as they performed very well in the Hillbilly Run.

The girls had very high placements in the Hillbilly Run meet  Saturday, Sept. 28.

In a large race, the girls showed their improvement over the season. The boys had an average performance. The team is now in midseason form and keep pushing.

Standing out in the crowd, freshman Raelee Hawkins placed 12th with a time of 21:11.38. Junior Emily Tinelli placed 38th in 22:49.21. Right behind her in 42nd place was sophomore Emma Egan who had a time of 23:02.57. Finishing in 100th place was junior Jaiden Hammack.

Leading the boys was junior Alex Christmas who came in 42nd place. He finished in 18:12.00. Sophomore Dakota Cerra came in 105th and finished in 19:54.52. Coming 108th was sophomore Cody Bostock. Freshman Lucas o’Connor and sophomore Tyler Bass finished shortly after. 

The team just passed midseason and with six meets left they are in full force and more motivated than ever. 

The team’s next meet is Saturday, Oct. 5 at Tom Sawyer Park.
