An Undefeated Season

LaRue rues challenging the chargers.

The boys beat LaRue County with a final score of 8-0 making LaRure regret playing the Chargers.

For the first time in school history, the varsity boys soccer team has gone undefeated in the regular season. The boys had their final game of the season last Friday, tying for two games and winning the others. Now that the season is over, the boys will be taking part in tournaments. 

The game against LaRue County ended 8-0, with the Chargers coming out on top. It was also senior night, with activities starting 30 minutes before the game. The Seniors on the team this year are Garret Anderson, number 0/11; Zak Perdew, number 2; Zane Payton, number 3; Samuel Brangers, number 4; Blake Dattilo, number 5; Evan Wright, number 6; Grayson Adams, number 8; Evan Ekbundit, number 9; Devon Newton, number 10; Noah Pressley, number 12 and Joseph Osbourne, number 14. 

The season may be over, but the boys aren’t done yet. Next week they have practices Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. The start of the District 24 Championship starts with a game between Whitefield and Fern Creek Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 5:30 p.m. The team will play against the winner Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 5:30 p.m.. Both games are at home.
