The rest of Bullitt County can’t touch this.

A track and field meet took place at Bullitt East for the county and the Chargers placed high in many of the events.

Last week, the track and field team was finally able to compete at home and the meet went well for many of the runners. This was a very good meet to see where all of the runners stand as they head to an out of state meet. They will be competing in Alabama at the Montgomery Academy Invitational.

The team will be traveling out to compete in Alabama to a meet. “I’m so excited to be competing in Alabama! The group going is so fun and competitive and it’s going to be a real nice time to get to know each other better and to hopefully compete at our best when race day comes… I think East is going to do very well… competing in track out of state is something that most of us have never done before, so to go to a pretty big meet in Alabama, and score points and (get) PR (personal record) is something we’re all looking for. It’s going to be a very good meet for east,” said Brianna Poole.  The out of state meet takes place on April 8.
