Wild Eggs

A place where I would go after attending church on a Sunday.

Wild Eggs is a very family friendly restaurant.

The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was very pleasing. The food was tasty but needed some rearranging with the plating. I would recommend going and trying it out.

The overall quality of this restaurant’s atmosphere was very pleasing. Every photo on the wall followed the theme of eggs. Some were cracked eggs and some were just eggs lined up in a row. It was very visually appealing.

I ordered the Bananas Foster ($9.49) which included a very thick “banana rum caramel sauce, fresh banana, vanilla ice cream, powdered sugar, cinnamon,” and a side of hashbrown casserole. At first this sounded like a great idea because what child hasn’t dreamt of eating ice cream for breakfast, but as I ate around half of the waffle I began feeling very sick to my stomach from all of the sugar. The hashbrown casserole, on the other hand, was delicious.

A friend that joined me for this meal ordered the Mr. Potato Head Casserole which included “hashbrown potatoes baked with sour cream, diced onions, spices and cheddar-jack cheese.  Topped with breakfast sausage, diced tomatoes, poblano peppers, roasted mushrooms, queso fundido and an egg cooked your way.” I did try some of this and it was something I would definitely recommend to anyone who would like to try this place out. It was one of those foods that you can’t get tired of eating.

The presentation of the food wasn’t anything to remember, but other that it was a bit wasteful. My sauce for my waffle came in its own coffee mug, my waffle on a separate plate and my hashbrown casserole on it’s own plate. I feel like this created so much unnecessary clutter on the table and they could have just put something else on another plate to make it seem more put together.

The service of the restaurant was very attentive for how busy it was. Our waitress kept coming to check on us and did what normal servers do when waiting a table. She asked how our food was and if everything came out okay. She didn’t hover over our table or hound us when we weren’t sure what to order.

All in all this place gets a 7/10 in my book. The food portion was okay for the price, the service was nice and the atmosphere felt very inviting. The only downfalls that I really noticed was the wait to be seated and the clutter the abundance of plates caused on the table.
