The boy’s soccer varsity team has had a continuous record of wins this season.

So far the season record is 13-0-1, meaning they’ve won 13 games, zero losses and tied once. Monday, Sept. 9, varsity won their game against Moore 6-3. One yellow card was issued to junior Ethan Anderson. A player from Moore went from two yellow cards to a red for foul language.

The game Wednesday, Sept. 11, ended similarly to the one on Monday, with varsity winning against Spencer County 4-1. Spencer County got a red card and two yellow cards, one of them being towards the coach. Colin Elder got a yellow card from the same play that Spencer County got their red card in.

Friday, Sept. 13, marked the start of the Mulhenbueg Tournament, where the team faced Bullitt Central, Webster County and Butler County. Varsity won the game against Central 5-0 and then they won again against Webster County 6-2. Butler County forfeited the last match, granting east a win, making it the third consecutive year they have taken home the title of tournament champions.

This week there will only be two games. Tuesday, Sept. 17, is a home game against John Hardin starting at 5:30 pm for varsity and seven pm for junior varsity. Then the second game is Thursday, Sept. 19, at Whitefield and against Whitefield starting at 5:30 p.m. for varsity.
