“There’s more to life than dating the boy on the football team.”

Swift’s newest relationship with Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce has taken over the internet causing controversy with many NFL fans and Swift fans.

Swift is slowly becoming the face of the NFL, being shown at almost every Chiefs game since their relationship went public just a few months ago.

Many fans love seeing Swift at NFL games, getting to see her somewhere other than her concerts or paparazzi photos, while others are getting annoyed by seeing her shown so often at these games.

Swift has brought many new fans to the NFL, along with many angry fans too. Many NFL fans will claim that Swift is ruining the NFL and feel it is annoying that they focus on her so much rather than the game itself. Sexism could potentially be an underlying factor as well that may impact anti-Swift feelings that many have.

What many people do not realize is that Swift’s high profile appearances at these games have increased the amount of NFL viewers along with the sales of Chiefs gear. “I’d say I feel that she has definitely brought more attention to the NFL, especially the Chiefs, which is great for them and their funding,” senior Jacob Campbell said.

Many people are also upset because they feel as if the NFL may be using her large fanbase for views and funding. “I really like Taylor Swift but I do have a problem with the NFL using her to raise their viewership, they show her on TV almost every time the chiefs do something good, I just don’t understand why they cant let her watch a game in peace,” senior Coby Barnett said.

Taylor Swift being a huge part of the NFL now has also made fathers and daughters closer, and have something to bond over, as many people may have seen on the Cetaphil superbowl commercial.

Overall, there are very mixed feelings about Swift’s appearance during NFL games, but in the end no one will ever be fully satisfied. “We don’t need to share the same opinions as others, but we need to be respectful,” Swift said.
