Winter Sports

The archers compete in a tournament at Mercy Academy. They have worked on shooting from both 10 meters and 15 meters. First you shoot a ten meter practice round followed by three rounds of ten meter scoring rounds, Campbell said.

This year, the archers are playing in honor of their late coach Reid Cornell, who passed away this past June. Their jerseys were made including his name on the sleeve to honor his memory this season. I know he is with me in spirit and I continue to strive to grow for him, Greenwell said.

The girls have practiced hard all season and are continuing to improve with every step and every fall. “Just getting out there and making a name for the team is motivation…the team isnt very represented so I think its nice to make a good name for the team and show people what we do, thats motivating,” senior dancer Katelyn Powers said.
