Snow Day Controversy

Savanah Hagan, Staff Writer

To snow or not to snow. When will our meteorologists and Keith Davis get it right?

In the past few days the weather has been snowy and cold. The news always says we are supposed to get a lot of snow and then we don’t. Sunday, February 1st we were told by the experts that we would have snow. That snow then got changed to rain. We got our hopes up and some of students probably waited until late Monday to do their homework. Wednesday, February 4th, we were also told by the experts that we would have snow. Jude Redfield said, “Light snow develops tonight, slick roads possible.”

That is not the first time we’ve been let down. Even when it does snow a lot Davis doesn’t cancel school. Although he did cancel school the January 27th, Davis cancels school late. The last snow day he waited until 5:40 a.m. to let students know. When will the two finally meet and not be a controversy?
