Saturday afternoon Bullitt East traveled to Bullitt Central and competed in the Bullitt Central Archery Tournament.  After six rounds of shooting, the team finished second place overall with a final score of 3405 points. Meade County finished in front of BE with a score of 3405 points resulting in a tie. The officials then looked at the number of “10s” that the team shot. Each shooter is allowed five arrows per shoot, and the goal is to get a 10 on every shoot, which is the highest score possible. Morgan Vaughn led the team with a score of 294 placing first. KC Corum, Sydney Marcum, and Ashley Kingsley also received awards at the tournament.

“Even though we got second it’s still exciting because 3405 is our highest score ever,” stated Bullitt East Archery shooter, Morgan Caudill.
