Adam Moore, senior at Bullitt East, has been selected to play in the all american national band in the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.

Moore was chosen from a pool of thousands of seniors around the nation. He will be playing the snare drum in the band that
will be playing at halftime of the All-American Bowl.

Trevor Ervin has been Moore's band teacher for four years.

Just because the bowl is in Texas doesn’t mean that there is no practice here in Kentucky. The All-American band directors have already sent Moore music to practice for the halftime show.

To be selected was not the easiest task for Moore. He had to make videos, go to auditions, and be interviewed to earn a spot in the band. Moore will be surrounded not only by the best football talents in the nation, but also by the best band talents in the nation, and Moore is no exception.

However, Moore couldn’t have achieved this on his own. He stated, “If I had to be honest, my biggest help is Mr. Ervin.” Trevor Ervin, former snare drummer, is Moore’s band teacher and has been for the past four years.

Moore said, “It really helps to have a band director who played the same instrument as you professionally.”

Be sure to tune into ESPN on January 8 to cheer Moore on.
