Chargers are marching into a new competition.

Bullitt East is competing in the Battle of the Marching Bands hosted by 97.5 WAMZ.

This will be a contest to find the best marching band around. Bullitt East is one of the participating marching bands in the 12 bands competing.

The marching chargers were entered into the competition by uploading a video of their best performance onto the website.

Students can vote by going to the website and voting for their school. The students are able to vote once a day until October 30.

“This year we have already been to many competitions and competed with numerous national champions and have come within 0.5 points of them. We are a very talented band that is also a very strong supporter of all other Bullitt East students and their respective sports. We need support from our fellow students,” said Courtney Barnes, a member of Bullitt East’s marching band.

The winning marching band with the most votes by midnight on October 30, will win a private concert for the school to enjoy. It has not been stated who will be performing yet.

“Voting for us would win you an amazing concert and publicity for the school,” said Barnes.
