Kids from all around go door to door to get candy.

Trick-or-treat, look at my costume it’s really neat.

It’s Halloween and many people are getting their costumes ready for the holiday.

Many people of all ages will be knocking on doors and ringing doorbells in hopes of getting lots of candy. Their costumes will be all decked out and look like the real deal. There will be clowns, giraffes and, of course, princesses galore.

“I’m not dressing up this year to go trick-or-treating but I am gonna hand out candy and take my brothers through our neighborhood,” said junior Bradley Lewis. People in high school might be a little above the age to go around and get candy but that won’t stop most of them.

This year, the costume predicted to be the best seller is Pennywise from the movie “It”. Pennywise or Bob Gray is a maniacal looking clown that is able to shapeshift, manipulate and go unnoticed by adults. The character was created by horror-novelist Stephen King in 1986 before the first of the “It” movies were released.

In a sharp contrast to a maniacal clown, another big costume this year are the children from the hit tv show, “Stranger Things”. The show follows a group of kids who end up losing one of their friends and they attempt to find him. Along the way, a lot of weird and suspicious events occur.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Halloween without tons of princesses. This year it seems that Moana and Belle are the two most common. Moana hit the scene especially hard when it came to theaters on Nov. 2016. The film follows princess Moana as she grows up in a remote island village to become the queen of her people and of course, like many other Disney princess, she is met with many obstacles on the way.

So get your choice of costume on and go get some candy!
