Trump Stumps on National Television

Trump is yet again under national scrutiny for another mishap.

President Donald Trump is catching even more heat than he has already received for his recent mess-up at the College Football Playoff National Championship game.

Trump attended the National Championship game for the 2017 College Football season with the Alabama Crimson Tide taking on the Georgia Bulldogs. Before every football game, there is a designated singer to sing the National Anthem. That is where it all went downhill.

Before the anthem was sung, Trump took the field from the tunnel. All lights and cameras pointed to him on TV and in the stadium. His figure appeared on the jumbotrons in Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, GA and the crowd erupted. Erupted can go one of two ways. You could be hated or you could be liked. When Trump was shown on the field, he was hit with a mixture of cheers and boos. He walked to mid-field and took his place for the anthem to be sung.

In the middle of the Anthem, on TV the cameras shifted from the singer to Trump. That is where it was bad. Trump was mouthing the National Anthem, but he was saying the wrong words.

The game went on, but social media didn’t let it die down too easily. Twitter blew up talking about that rather than the main focus which was the National Championship being played. A Twitter handle tweeted “How did we allow a scumbag like Trump to be our president? He can’t even sing the Anthem right rather than run our country”.

Trump has gotten mixed feelings from people around the country, whether it be good or bad, but this is adding fuel to the fire for the large number of people that are rather unpleased with Trump.

“I don’t like how people discourage Trump and how they bash him because they can’t back it up, but if he can’t sing the National Anthem then that’s a big problem,” said Clay Prechtel.
