Two Dead, Seventeen Hospitalized at Kentucky High School

On the morning of January 23, 2018 a school shooting at Marshall County High School resulted in at least seventeen injured and two dead.

Seventeen students were shot on Tuesday at a high school in Kentucky. The shooter is now in custody, but is yet to be named. First responders are still investigating the scene. Governor Matt Bevin reported that at least two students have been confirmed dead. Seventeen students are being taken to a local hospital.

Students were transported by bus to North Marshall middle school where their parents can pick them up.

This is the second U.S. shooting in the past week after the Italy High School shooting in Texas that occurred January 22. This was the first school shooting that has taken place in Kentucky in the past 21 years.
