The boys golf team has been working hard but last weeks match didn’t show off their skills.

The boys golf improvement went downhill. As they are working toward group improvement individual players are improving also. With the improvement, senior, Thomas Bryan has placed one of his personal best scores.

The last game Aug. 28, was a game of breaking records. Sophomore, Austin Hale made his all time best, and overall, it had been the best game of the season so far.  It was looking great for the rest of this season, until this past week’s match. “This is where we see our biggest improvements, is right after Labor Day,” said Head Coach Kyle Downs.

Last Thursday’s match on Sept. 5 at Doe Valley was not a good performance for the Boys Golf team. They played against Meade County. Coach Downs did not get the scores from the match but he was helping the younger players out that night. “We didn’t win, we were able to get some young players some good experience,” said Downs.

The team also played in The Butler Invitational Aug. 7 where Thomas Bryan finished in the top 10. Their next game is Wed. Sept. 11 against Grayson County at Heritage Hills Golf Course.
