Homecoming Games Rescheduled

The homecoming game is coming a little late this year.

Students all over Bullitt East were surprised when they heard that all homecoming games had been rescheduled for a later date.

After a whole week of dressing up to support homecoming festivities, students were shocked to hear that homecoming had been rescheduled for another time. However, no one was more surprised than the members of the homecoming court. Still, students are standing firm in their excitement for the homecoming basketball game.

When asked about her opinion on if it was right to reschedule homecoming, sophomore homecoming nominee Kemper Barr said, “I think it was the right thing to do. If it was me and it was my senior year, I would definitely want to be able to attend my last homecoming game, especially if I was on the court.”

Sophomore male nominee Rece Watson agreed and said, “Yeah I agree because there was a possibility that some people couldn’t make it because of the girls basketball game.”

Some students disagreed with the way homecoming was planned this year. Still Barr and Watson had faith in the homecoming committee. Barr said, “I think it was planned fine. It just happened to interfere with the girls game. They had a backup plan anyways.”

Watson once again agreed with Barr and said, “Yes, homecoming week was full of cool themes and I think everyone really enjoyed it.”
