New Bell Surprises Student Body

The different bell has students ringing with confusion.

A recent change in the sound of the bell had students confused as they returned from spring break. Many students are saying the new bell sounds like an elevator or an airport. The classic telephone type bell  has been replaced with four simple dings.

Not only are students confused by the new bell, some are even annoyed. The confusion has caused many students to be tardy to classes. Most students believed that since the new bell was causing confusion all day, that if a student was a little late, that it would be okay. Some students are saying that the new bell is just temporary and some are saying that the new bell will be permanent. “The new bell doesn’t really bother me, however it is a little hard to hear the minute bell in the hallways just because it’s so quiet. from what I’ve heard from teachers, it sounds like the new bell will be permanent,” said sophomore Charisma Cornell.
As the new bell begins to become a normality, students are starting to come around to the idea. More students are getting to class on time and not wasting time in the halls.
