On The Road to Regionals

This is the year.

The volleyball team plans to go as far as possible at regionals, hopefully bringing home a trophy.

“District showed us that we are not a perfect team. We can play decently as individuals, but when we come together as a whole, we can be unstoppable. Districts exposed a lot of our weaknesses such as communication, serving, and footwork. So at practice, we were able to highlight those areas before regionals,” said Emily Miles, varsity player.

Their biggest competitor will be Mercy, which is the number one team in the nation. Lady Chargers have played them once this year, in which they lost all three matches. In order to beat Mercy the girls will need to keep their serves and hits in, and their defense will need to be quick on their feet.

The Lady Chargers expect the same out of each other- to walk out on the court and play like they know how. The volleyball team would prefer to win regionals, but aren’t really concerned with winning or losing as of right now. “It’s about playing next to the people you love,” stated the team. The girls just want everyone to play the sport with all their heart.
