Leaders of East, known as LOE, is a Bullitt East club run by Ms.Poole. They start their meetings in the fall, typically in November, having 1-2 meetings a week. These meetings are held in Room 201 Ms.Poole’s class, right after school. They have field trips to help spread the word of Bullitt East, as well as fundraising for the club.
Leaders of East (LOE) is a student leadership club that helps students learn how to be a leader in Bullitt East High School. The club consists of many engaging students who are here to make a difference. Their dedication, attitude, and commitment to the club are impeccable. All the students in the club act as role models around the school and in the community. They represent how students should lead. They are problem solvers, good communicators, and responsible in every way as well as making every student feel seen. The overall accomplishment of LOE is to focus on building leadership skills and motivating students to be proactive both in Bullitt East and beyond. “I have learned so many leadership skills in this club, but it is very fun!” Lily Alvey
LOE members get involved in various school and community activities. They take part in planning field trips to build teambuilding and management skills, like activating. They do some fundraisers to fund field trips. This plays a big part in learning how to take action and encourage others. Additionally, they team up with teachers and administrators to encourage positivity, respect, and participation throughout the Bullitt East. They also help with some school events like setting up, ideas, planning, etc. “My favorite part about LOE is definitely the field trips, and teambonding, and learning new leadership skills.” Lily Alvey
Leaders of East goes beyond just being a club; it’s a drive to boost confidence, teamwork, and pride in students. By offering high school students who know how and like to lead a stage to serve as a leader. Leaders of the East help mold the future’s changemakers. Being a part of this club builds connections, friendships, and learning skills.
