Playing on the home field makes a difference.

After starting their season with six games on the road, the Lady Chargers brought soccer back home for three games and won each of them.

The girls currently have an overall season record of 6-3. Over the last week of August and the first week of September, the team faced Fern Creek, North Bullitt and Butler.  Junior varsity participated in the Thoroughbred Cup in Elizabethtown the weekend of Sep. 8.

The Fern Creek game Aug. 27 resulted in a score of 9-0 for varsity, the Chargers taking the win. There was not a junior varsity game. Two days following the Fern Creek game, the girls then faced North Bullitt on Aug. 29. and varsity walked away with a winning score of 6-1. Junior varsity played after varsity, and their game resulted with another win and a score of 5-0.

Continuing their winning streak on the home field, the varsity ladies faced Butler Sep. 4 and won with a final score of 10-0. The game was called approximately halfway through the second half due to the 10 point lead the Chargers had.

The team was scheduled to travel to North Oldham on Saturday, Sep. 8 but the game was cancelled due to field conditions. The next girls soccer game will be this Wednesday against Thomas Nelson at 5:30 p.m. at home. There will be a junior varsity and a varsity game.
