The girls currently have an overall season record of 20-6, ranking them 12 in the state. This past week the team faced Fern Creek high school and Mercy Academy.

The game against Fern Creek, Feb. 24, resulted in a score of 101-22 for varsity, the Chargers taking the win. Feb. 27,  the girls then faced Mercy Academy, and Mercy walked away with a winning score of 69-65. Senior Lexi Taylor ended the game with a total of 25 points and sophomore Gracie Merkle scored 13 points off the bench in less than 20 minutes.

The next girls basketball game will be this Monday, March 2 at and against PRP for the first round of the regional tournament. Varsity will tip-off at 7 p.m.
