This is Sierra Karner and she is a senior. This is her second year on the staff and she is the Social Media Coordinator. She is taking journalism because she enjoys writing articles and learning new things about the people around her. She is involved in Beta Club and Project Unify at school and works at Walgreens.

Junior Torrie Frist stepped up as libero while senior McKenna Humphrey was out due to an injury. “Through the season we had a lot of sickness or injuries which causes a lot of change, but we always played hard and had underclassmen step up to the role,” senior Morgan Butler said.

Getting a good point in the game after a long rally really sets the mood of the game. My teammates are my family and getting to play with them was the best part about the sport, senior Grace Satterfield said.

Its the feeling that makes me keep playing even through the hardest times, Puckett said.

Having Whitefield as the first round of districts had us a little nervous at first going in because we had gone five with them in the middle of the season but as soon as the game started I think we all knew we had it. We set a goal for ourselves after losing the first game that we would beat them out the next three and we did that, senior Mckenna Humphrey said.

Bullitt East played their last home game against South Oldham Oct. 14. Senior Grace Satterfield hits the volleyball and returns it after a serve. This game isnt just an athletic game, its also a mind game and you have to have the right mindset to play. With that being said Thursday against South Oldham was a mindset game. South Oldham wanted to win the game but so did we. We never gave up in that game and to me that shows a great mindset, Satterfield said.

The World Trade Centers after the airplanes flew into them. The first tower was struck between 93 and 99 floor and the second tower was hit 77 and 85. Then I thought about how they were going to be fighting fires and doing rescues for days inside of those towers, Thompson said.
