Leaving an easy week, and bringing on an emotional one.

The Lady Charger volleyball team left last week feeling good, this week they will take on their senior night.

The team had a successful and calm week. Their game against Nelson Co made for another win. The team prepares physically and emotionally for senior night.

With only one game during the week the girls got to have a break. They took on Nelson Co Thursday, Oct. 10. The game was out of three sets and the Lady Chargers won in two straight sets.

The team also played in the Halloween Smash in Lexington Saturday Oct. 12. The Lady Chargers came in 3rd place at the tournament. Senior Halle Key said, “We expected to walk away from the tournament in 1rst place, as years prior. But we had some hard competition and finished in 3rd. Overall, I think we were satisfied. We definitely played our hardest.”

This week the team will take on their most emotionally game of the season, senior night. With the team having seven seniors, it pretty much makes up their whole team. Key said, “Our senior night Thursday will be bittersweet. We’ve had a great season and the end of it came way too fast. But it’s been awesome being on a team with the girls I’ve played with since middle school. Hopefully we do well against Central.” The game will be Thursday, Oct. 17 at 7:30 p.m. against the Bullitt Central Cougars on the home court.
