The Chargers continue to battle on the field.
The Lady Chargers finished their season on October 21, where they finished strong. To get to this point, the Lady Chargers had to win over 15 games this year. Currently, the Lady Chargers are ranked No. 745 nationally and No. 34 in the state of Kentucky. The Lady Chargers also placed No. 16 in Louisville and No. 1 in Kentucky District 6.
A big turning point for this year was the Lady Chargers’ games against the Bethlehem Eagles, where the Lady Chargers won 2-0. Taking their revenge after losing to them for the past 3 seasons. Additionally, this is one of the Lady Chargers ‘ best seasons with an overall of 15-5-1, this being the third highest score the Lady Chargers have ever gotten.
This year, the varsity consisted of 18 players, which is the biggest team we’ve had post covid. This year’s team consisted of 11 seniors, four Juniors, and three sophomores. The Lady Chargers made it to the KHSAA State Tournament this season, but unfortunately lost to Sacred Heart, 6-1.
As the season ends, the Lady Chargers leave behind not just wins but a legacy of unity, passion, and resilience. Their teamwork, dedication, love for soccer, leadership, and high energy continue to inspire younger players with better seasons to come.
