Military Ball

On Friday 13th, 2015, ROTC held their yearly military ball in Bullitt East’s new gym to have another yearly great time together.

A military ball is a dance for everyone in ROTC and a plus one of who they choose to bring as a ‘date’. It included dressing up, out of the uniforms into formal dressing, great music, a DJ, and of course everyone’s favorite, food.

Sophomore, Hunter Burks shared his experience of the whole night, ” It was fun night overall. My funnest thing would be when they finally brought more pizza and hanging out with friends,”

This years military ball had a special treat before it, the ROTC had their promotion ceremony before the dance while it is usually during school. A promotion ceremony is promoting a student in ROTC to a better rank, or giving a rank to them.

Sophomore, Ethan Carlisle gave his thoughts about the night as well, “It was fun to hang out with all of my friends that are in ROTC and I liked the promotion ceremony because I like to see myself and others succeed. A downside was that food ran out a lot quicker than expected. I also like playing with the balloons,”

Overall it was a positive night besides the food running out, but can you ever have enough food?
