Breakthrough Week

For Bullitt East, success comes in multiples.

The East baseball team made excellent progress last week, going undefeated that week.

Last week, the baseball team played three games, winning them all. Certain players contributed a great deal to the success of the team. This week, the boys play a few games and leave for Disney World.

To kick the week off, the team took on South Oldham on Monday, March 23rd. In the end, East pulled it off and won 6-3. Following up the next day, East defeated Bullitt Central 9-0. On Wednesday, Bullitt East was supposed to take on Holy Cross, but the weather had other plans. The rain cancelled all outdoor sports for the day. The team didn’t let that stop them, and they finished out with a 10-0 win against Whitefield Academy.

A few varsity players from the team really stood out.

Jacob Bowles, senior and varsity player, said, “Brayden Blair and Garrett Wilson are doing really well offensively. Jared Farris and Garrett Wilson got their first pitching appearance of the season against BC.”

At the end of this week, the team will be traveling to Disney World in Florida to compete with teams around the world. Going by how the boys have been doing so far into the season, East should come out on top compared to the other competing teams. The team will be there all spring break.

The team ends last week with a 6-2 record.
