East takes on rival Spencer County

Bullitt East looks to take on rival Spencer County coming into week 4 of the season.

East is coming off a tough 50-19 loss to Central Hardin, while SC is coming off a close 28-27 win vs East Jessamine. Coach Sanders is looking for toughness from the defense this week. East will have to look to stop Brandon Leff and Kadin Smith in order to come out with their first win of the season.

East suffered its third loss of the season, this time to Central Hardin. The defensive unit struggled again as they allowed 442 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns on the ground. Coming off a win vs East Jessamine, Spencer County’s rushing game was strong, but like East, had trouble defending the run.

The defense for East has been a reoccurring trend this season. The offense, so far, has been firing on all cylinders, while the defense on the other hand has been dragging behind. Blown assignments and poor tackling have been of the several struggles for this unit. With a strong offensive SC team, the defensive will have to step up in order for this team to get their first win.
Coming into this year, SC is a lot like East’s team this year. Both teams have an impressive running game and have multiple playmakers on the outside. For SC look for running back Brandon Leff and wide receiver/running back Kadin Smith. The biggest key to this game will be held within the fire power of the offenses. Look for a high scoring game in this battle of the counties.
