Super Bowl LI Prediction

Super Bowl LI Prediction

Nicholas Jackson, Staff Writer

The day has finally come, today the New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons are playing in Super Bowl LI.

The Patriots have the four time winning Super Bowl champ, Tom Brady. The Falcons have the league MVP, Matt Ryan. So who has the advantage? Many sports analysts such as NFL writer, Adam Schein, believes that the Patriots are going to win due to Brady’s unbelievable ability to come through in tough situations, and arguably the best NFL coach of all time Bill Belichick right by his side.

The game today is sure to be a high scoring game. The Falcons rank first in the league in points per game with 33.8 points. While the Patriots follow closely behind in third place with 27.6 points.

Although the Falcons offense is the best in the league, their biggest weakness is on the defense. According to NFL.com, the Falcons are ranked 26th in the league in total defense. Which is the total amount of yards given up by a team.

In order to stop Brady and the Patriots, their defense will have to step it up. While the Falcons suffer from a poor defense, the Patriots are eighth in the league in total defense.

With all of this under consideration, I predict that the Patriots are going to win in a high scoring game with a final score of 38-35.
