The wind ensemble was selected to perform at the 2018 Kentucky Music Educators Association state conference.

As many know, the band has had a very successful season. The wind ensemble has received the honor of performing at an important conference. Only the best get invited, and the wind ensemble deserves recognition for their great accomplishment.

The band has applied twice to perform at KMEA (Kentucky Music Educators Association). This time, however, they were selected. “To be chosen to perform is a huge honor. It’s the biggest accomplishment in terms of concert band,” said band director, Trevor Ervin. At this event, they will perform in front of band directors and music educators.

The band members are nervous but also excited to show off all of their hard work. “This is the first step to a big change in the music program,” said band member, Marlene Michel. As a whole, they are all grateful to be selected to perform.

The wind ensemble will perform at The Palace Theatre on Thursday, Feb. 8.
