Serving up a fantastic season.

The volleyball team starts off on the wrong foot, but quickly rebounds.

The Lady Chargers lost their first game 3-0 against Nelson County on Tuesday, Aug. 17. They came back strong on Thursday, Aug. 19 winning against North Hardin 3-0. However, there are many games to come in the following week.

Their first game against Nelson County was a close one. They lost 25-22 in the first set, 25-18 in the second set and 25-21 in the third set. During the first set against Nelson County Cardinals, the lineup was messed up and they had to adapt to it. “Even though we lost, for our first game we all worked together well as a team and kept the energy high even when we got down.” Hayla Puckett said.

They won their second game against North Hardin with the final scores of each set being 25-15, 25-19 and 25-19. All three front row positions had a better hitting game than when they played against. “A much better game for us. We had so much energy and even got some chances to run plays.” Puckett said.

The volleyball team has two away games this week. Monday, Aug. 23 they play against Fairdale at Fairdale. Thursday, Aug. 26 they play against Jeffersontown at J-town.
