Political arguments have gone too far
On Tuesday, January 10, Lucy Harrison, a 23-year-old woman who was visiting her family for the holiday in Prosper, Texas, was arguing with her father, Kris Harrison, about Trump. The argument shortly became heated when Litter, Lucy’s boyfriend, asked, “How would you feel if I were the girl in that situation and I’d been sexually assaulted?” The father had replied that he had two other daughters who lived with him, so it would not upset him that much. In a fit of rage, Lucy then ran upstairs.
Just half an hour before Lucy Harrison was about to leave for the airport, Kris Harrison took Lucy by the arm and showed her to his bedroom, where Kris had pulled out his gun next to his drawer to show Lucy, and the next moment, Her boyfriend Sam Litter had heard a gunshot.
When Litter had found Lucy dead near the entrance to the bathroom, Kris was screaming for Heather. When police showed up not too long after that, Kris stated that they were watching a news item on gun crime when Kris had told Lucy that he had a gun, he went into the bedroom to show her, and it suddenly went off.
“As I lifted the gun to show her, I suddenly heard a loud bang. I did not understand what had happened. Lucy immediately fell,” said Kris. He claimed that he couldn’t recall whether his finger was on the trigger.
Police officer Luciana Escalera had noticed the smell of alcohol on Harrison’s breath when he was called to the house after the shooting. Turns out, Kris had bought two 500ml cartons of Chardonnay from a 7-Eleven store the same day.
After this case came to a grand jury, The US ruled that no-one will face prosecution over Lucy Harrison’s death.
