This is Molly Shannon. She is a sophomore and junior creative editor in the Journalism program at Bullitt East High School. Once she graduates, she hopes to major in Journalism, which is why she joined the class this year. Outside of journalism, she is also a part of a club known as Project Unify.

Ending the Season on a Positive Note

Losing the tournament was a bittersweet moment because the girls worked together as a team but it was almost as if their hard work didnt pay off. Alayna Wells and Shelby Hatter are now better prepared for future tournaments. I won my match by a lot which doesnt happen a lot so I was really proud of myself, said Wells.

Brown receiving her fourth place trophy at the Central Hardin Bruin Invitational. This tournament was held on Aug. 2 where she shot a 76. Brown was hoping for a lower score as shes used to placing higher, We always practice what we should do or need to work on... Sometimes as a team, tournaments don’t go as well as practice, said Brown.

Wendy McCutcheons old office in the College and Career Center is now empty after she has packed up all of her things and left. This office was her home away from home for eight years and it will soon be the office of Ann Mann. The nature of the College and Career Coach job is one that changes all the time. Every week (it seems like), the state changes a pathway or the requirements to become college ready. Ms. Ann Murphy has been hired as Wendys replacement and will do an excellent job, said guidance counselor Dana Steinmetz.
